Cross Weave Graphite

Cross Weave is a lovely, subtle textured fabric suitable for combining with good quality quilting cottons.  It's an alternative to solids that has much more character.  It's a great visual addition to a quilt but also great for home dec sewing, bags and other projects.

What gives it it's texture is the Warp thread going the length of the fabric is yarn dyed. The Weft yarn that's woven across the lengthwise yarn is a different color.  In this case white.  Cross Weave is a woven so it will fray a little more than a quilters cotton.  The yarns are not as fine, thus the yummy texture!

Cross Weave vs. Chambray= Cross Weave is a smidge lighter weight and softer to the touch.  They are pretty similar though.
