Come start your weekend with a Girls Night Out at the Studio!
I've invited Amy Jacob to partner with me on this event, helping to make it a super fun evening!! We hope to have one a month. We'll have a fun demo/project to show (participation optional of course), yummy food and great fellowship. Of course you're welcome to do a little shopping, plan a new project, whatever your heart desires.
Everyone's invited, bring along some sewing, knitting, crocheting, handwork .... or just yourself for a fun evening. There'll be yummy food to munch on as you work on your craft or just enjoy each others company.
If you're signing up to come and you will not need space for a sewing machine will you please send a text to the office number at 503-509-5365 telling us so. This helps us with our planning. ***************************
February's demo will be the Double Wide 4-Patch Dresden Template.
I've been having fun making dresdens with this tool! I love the "patchwork" look and the fact that you only make half the number of blades as a traditional dresden plate. It's a new twist on the timeless Dresden Plate block. I'm making a runner first but I can see so many uses for it. A mini quilt, an embellishment on a bag.... they're to cute to only make one!
I will have the templates available and kits for the runner if you're interested. If you'd like to bring your own fabric to play around with the template, bring a mini charm pack or a variety of 2 1/2" squares. A charm pack that you can cut into quarters works to. One Dresden Plate block takes 40 2 1/2" squares.
